# Grand Tour Gravel

> A proposed multi-day gravel stage race across the Colorado high country, starting and finishing in Leadville, Colorado (10,152 ft). In development; the target is late summer 2027, with exact dates set once land-management permits are in hand. Point-to-point stages over alpine passes (Mosquito, Cottonwood, Hagerman, Weston) with a cumulative-time general classification. Basecamp is a private 1,000-acre ranch on Turquoise Lake with Sugarloaf Mountain Lodge.

Status: concept and planning. Independent; not affiliated with Life Time or the Leadville Race Series (which runs its own 3-day MTB stage race). The 2026 Willow Fire affected the Hagerman Pass / Sugarloaf area used by candidate stages. No registration is open yet, and no sponsors or permits are confirmed. Route details are indicative candidates.
