The worldwide gravel racing calendar
A rider's guide to the gravel season, grouped by region and listed roughly in date order. Each table gives the 2026 date, the 2027 date where the organizer has announced one, and the event's usual timing so you can plan 2028 and later.
A 2027 date appears only when it is published on the event's own site or its official registration page, and each one links to where we found it. Everything else says “Not announced”. We don't guess. Colorado comes first and in the most depth, because it is our home state and has one of the densest gravel calendars anywhere. New Mexico and Texas follow, then the rest of North America and the wider world.

The Colorado gravel calendar
Grand Tour Gravel is based in Leadville, so Colorado gets the deepest treatment here. The state runs a near year-round calendar, from a February snow rally through a high-country summer to the autumn finales, most of it raced between 8,000 and 12,000 feet. A few of these are singletrack-heavy or mountain-bike events; those are marked.

New Mexico gravel
The Land of Enchantment has a smaller but growing scene, centred on the high desert around Santa Fe and a free, grassroots series that moves around the state.

Texas gravel
Texas runs a long spring and autumn season, from the West Texas ranch country to the Hill Country west of Austin. Distances run from a friendly half-day to 500-mile ultras.

Europe and the world championship path
Two season-long circuits sit over the top of the European calendar: the UCI Gravel World Series, which qualifies riders for the rainbow jersey, and the independent Gravel Earth Series. Several of the marquee one-day and multi-day races below are rounds of one or the other.

Gravel is now a genuinely global sport. These are the standout events beyond North America and Europe, including the 2026 World Championships, which leave Europe for the first time.

Planning further ahead
2028 and beyond
Reading the Usually column. Most established gravel events hold the same slot every year: the same weekend relative to a holiday (Memorial Day, Labor Day, May 1) or the same numbered Saturday of a month. To estimate a future date, apply the pattern to that year's calendar. Unbound, for example, runs the Saturday after Memorial Day, so it lands in the last days of May or the first days of June depending on the year. Treat that as a planning estimate only. Events move, as FoCo Fondo (July to June), Mad Gravel (May to September) and Ranxo (autumn to June) all did recently, and newer events have too few editions to show a reliable pattern.
Announced multi-year commitments. The clearest long-range dates in gravel are the UCI World Championships, which the UCI awards years in advance:

We did not find published multi-year venue or permit agreements for the other events on this page. Most confirm one year at a time, usually in the autumn after the previous edition.

Dates, distances and formats change from year to year, and events are occasionally cancelled or rescheduled, so confirm on the official site before booking travel. Something missing or out of date?
